FDA Warns Nestle After Eau Claire Plant Inspection
Testing shows infant formula made at the Eau Claire plant had less calcium and phosphorous than the law requires.

The Food and Drug Administration warned Nestle on Tuesday that sample testing has revealed one of its infant formulas contained slightly less calcium and phosphorous than required by law.

The FDA tested a sample of the company's Good Start Infant Formula following an inspection of Nestle's plant in Eau Claire.

A warning letter posted on the FDA's Web site gives Nestle 15 business days to specify how it will fix the problem.
