Six people were hurt when a vehicle crashed and ended upside down in a creek. The Clark County Sheriff's Department says it happened about 6 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 'B' just east of Humbird.
Captain Rich Englebretson says 23-year-old Eugene Hertzfeldt of Hixton was driving and missed a curve, hit a guardrail and a bridge piling, and then rolled through the ditch ending upside down in a small creek. Three people were taken by helicopter and three by ambulance to area hospitals.
Englebretson says the injuries are not expected to be life threatening. He says they believe alcohol was a factor in the crash, but they're still investigating.
The people hurt include: 20-year-old Victor Simone of Whitehall, 18-year-old Vincent Simone of Whitehall, 19-year-old Nicholas Berg of Black River Falls, 15-year-old Timothy Arthur of Black River Falls and
18-year-old Melissa Svobody of Whitehall.
