An investigation is underway after a Northern Wisconsin couple was found dead over the weekend. Washburn County Sheriff, Terry Dryden, says deputies were called to a 'barking dog' complaint Saturday night and found 72-year-old Edward Linehan and his wife, 69-year-old Susan Linehan dead in a home northwest of Spooner.
Dryden says because the cause of the deaths is unclear, the department is treating the investigation like they would process a crime scene. Wisconsin crime lab technicians have been called in. The bodies have been taken to the Ramsey County medical examiner's office for autopsies.
