WRR Environmental services says it wants to build a new chemical loading facility near Bloomer.
The current loading building is in Chippewa Falls, but it wants to build a new facility southeast of Bloomer between 98th Street and the rail line.
WRR collects and disposes of industrial solvents like lacquer thinner and acetone.
The company says semi-tanker trucks would come to the facility and fill rail cars with the chemicals.
It says in 20 years of loading rail cars in Chippewa Falls, it's never had a spill.
The company says it hopes to ship 8 to 10 rail cars per week.
The Chippewa County Planning and Zoning committee would still have to approve the plan, along with the County Board of Supervisors.
