Census shows Eau Claire gaining population and La Crosse declining
The Census Bureau released its population estimates for 2008, and it shows Eau Claire has grown, while La Crosse has lost people.

The Census Bureau released its population estimates for 2008, and it shows Eau Claire has grown, while La Crosse has lost people.
According to the census, Eau Claire’s population grew 5/5% from 2000, at 65,426 people in 2008. La Crosse lost 2/2% of its population since 2000, coming in with 50,902 people in 2008.
The badger state as a whole grew a bit. Wisconsin had 5.6 million people in 2008, a growth of 4.9% since 2000.
