A man will have to pay almost $100 after he wore a sweatshirt into a credit union Wednesday. 33-year-old Eric Harding wore the sweatshirt into the Government Employee's Credit Union in La Crosse. Police say he was wearing the sweatshirt with the face zipped up when he rode up on his bike but unzipped the mask as he entered the lobby. A customer saw the man and called 911.
Harding withdrew cash and left, but police found him nearby and held him as a possible bank robbery suspect. When police realized there was no bank robbery, he was ticketed $96 for disorderly conduct and causing a public disturbance.
