Jim, sorry. Many studies, foreign and domestic, have shown that cannabis actually prevents lung cancers, and shows no decrease in pulmonary function. I simple terms, smoking pot doesn't hurt you any more than taking a lungfull next to an interstate highway. Tobacco has a much different effect, which only makes sense, since it's a completely different plant. Just because knowledge is hard to find doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Thanks C for the support, I usualy get very little of that here. Did you read carefully? If you OD, no hospital treatment at all. None ever, if you are a user and the problem is in any way drug related. If you feel drugs are not a health risk, then one must live with that principle. It has been long ago determined that most of these illegal substances are harmful to your health, so if you truly believe the experts are wrong, then show the world that the experts are wrong, though by doing so you gamble with your life. You will never see pot legalized by the way because of the health risks. It isn't because of all the pruds out there. One joint has more harmful chemicals for your lungs then a whole pack of nonfiltered cigs. Realy. If we legalized pot, in 5 years the health care system would be over burdened with end stage lung pts. And thats just pot, think about paying for health care for meth or coke. I say if you feel drugs are safe, put your life where your mouth is.

Yeah Jim! I support your way of thinking!! Now just to convince Washington... Save those Billions to do something constructive... like get us out of debt!

WE waste billions per year on the drug war. I say make it all legal, buttt, with a catch. If you are caught driving or hurting someone else with these substances in your system, you go up the river for a long long time, first offense. No exceptions, you should be allowed to do stupid things to yourself till the cows come home, but never ever be allowed to endanger any around you. Also, if you show up in an ER overdosing, you will not be treated, just thrown out the door to die in the gutter like the dog you are. People will learn to moderate thier own behaviors, or they will die. No more high costs to fight the drug war, treat the medical emergencies, plus lower the amount of related crime by ruining the black market. With the huge savings we could offer rehab for those who truly want help. The rest will eventualy die, either way, problem solved. Chalk up another victory for tough love in action. Personal responsibility rocks. Drug users, fight for MY form of legalization!!

Tony, in a Free country, we DO have the right to be drug-free. All you have to do is 'not do drugs.' You are still 'drug-free' even if everyone else around you isn't. That's what TRUE Freedom is, and we don't have it. Got it? Freedom does NOT mean that some people get to push their agendas forcefully upon others.

Todd, quit being such a big baby! Who really cares about whether or not your comments get posted. It's their website, and the reserve the right to post what ever they chose. Plus, I've seen critical posts on here before, so I'm sure that there was another reason why it wasn't posted. Geez dude, there's bigger things in this world to worry about than whether or not your comment shows up on here.

WEAU - Why do you consistently refuse to post every post I issue that is critical of the news station? Million dollar drug bust???? c'mon.. show me evidence of 1,000,000 of anything going through this "ring". I'm so sick of sensationalist journalism and WEAU is one of the worst. If this post is also not posted, I will begin posting a blog of my cached posts as censorship of criticism on a news message board is equally intolerable as this sensationalist headline..
