Officers say the men had been drinking. It took two hours to convince one of them to come down.

In response to Bill. I can guarantee that nobody in my family would ever try to sue Luther Hospital. That hospital does so much good for our community. My family isn't stupid, and I know that they would recognize the difference between a bad decision on my part, and any possible negligence on the hospitals part. But why don't you keep making statements about what you apparently know other people would do. It feels sooo good when somebody else puts words into my mouth, much less the mouths of MY FAMILY. Who by the way, do not need to be brought into this whatsoever. How would you like it if I started telling you about your family, even though I have never met them, and judging them based on your actions. You should know better. Apparently your mother didn't raise you right. :-) OOPS, Did I say that?

Some think it is horrible these two guys climbed this crane. Yet it seems like the same people who want them to do hard time thought it was ok for the green peace idiots to do their stunt on our national monument. That is right, some think anytime alcohol is involved it should be mandatory prison sentences, but if it's good ol' hippies having some fun spreading the lie of global warming, then it is alright. Bit of sacarasm there, but hippy is directed to anonymous who thought those of us who don't believe in a lie designed to steal our freedoms are "hillbillies".

You can't fix Stupid, but you can read about it. What a couple of immature morons.

Had you fallen to your death your next of kin would be suing the hospital.

That's the problem, Blake. You're not a kid. You're an adult. Maybe its time to start acting like one.

Oh, Blake... Yeah, I have to admit I would be up there too if I had been out with Blake that night.

Problem is, Blake, that you're not a kid. You're an adult. Maybe time to start acting like one?

these 2 complete morons dont need the book thrown at them but they need to be punished. their actions could have caused a lot more problems than it did. these 2 idiots are completely lacking common sense.

So lets reward bad behavior? Dont we do that enough in our society? Yea just having fun at whose expense? And I love some of these comments where is the common sense here Why should we praise them for doing wrong?? People need to know if you do wrong you are punished. Obviously these two dont get it!!!

All I can say is this, if I would have been with Blake that night, I would have been up on that crane with him!

You cant tell me you have never looked up at a structure like that and gotten curios. I know I have. I just have never gotten the guts to climb one. They are making it into way more of a big deal than it needs to be.

It was worth every minute. At no point did we feel unsafe, nor were we endangering ourselves as much as everyone thinks. The ladders on the way up are completely safe, and there are platforms up top to walk on. I'll admit that unscrewing the light bulbs was not a good idea, but there were plenty of lights that I didn't unscrew which made the crane still totally visible to anyone flying Mayo 1. And for the record, we weren't as intoxicated as the police or news may have lead you to believe, or charged with burglary like many stations stated. To those who think I'm crazy, I'm not. Just a kid looking for a good time and a good climb. But because most people are afraid of heights, and I obviously am not, they think otherwise. Realistically, it was no different than climbing a few ladders, then walking down a sidewalk. I have always looked at radio towers and wanted to climb one. I guess I settled for a crane. And although I didn't go up there looking for a sunrise, it sure was pretty.
