The child should spend the night is jail and hopefully will scare him striaght to think before u do anything. This is also another reason why parents need to pay attention to on EVERYTHING their child does and prevents a child from being kidnapped.

how many people were put at risk with this high speed chase. WHY??? There has to be a better way to deal with this without putting the rest of the public in even more danger.

really jim? a good kick in the backside is enough for putting countless lives in danger, traveling speeds that exceeded 100 miles an hour? if these kids are doing this at 14...its scary to think what they will do when they are older. they have to learn, and letting their father teach them will NOT accomplish that...a long stint in juvie sounds appropriate to me

I agree with Jim But dad should have delivered the kick several years ago. He also should deliver kicks to any lawyer that tries to take the case.

Are you kidding? A little late for a spanking. What if one of the "almost misses" actually happened and it wiped a Mother and three kids off the planet while they were driving home from the grocery store? Then the issue would be a bit bigger than lawyer fees don't you think?

Sound like it is a little late for that and his back side should have been dealt with a while ago.Kids need to learn that there are consequences for their actions.Especially at the risk of other peoples life or their own.

If I were those parents, I would sue whatever company makes the Ice Cream that those kids were going for. If it weren't for their suggestive advertising enticing those kids to want Ice Cream sooooo bad, maybe those kids wouldn't have stolen that SUV and led police on a high speed chase!! Darn Ice Cream producers!! By the way, that's a sarcastic view of what this sue-happy world has come to. (aka - a joke!) I would like to think that a swift kick in the back side would do the trick as Jim pointed out below; however, I've got money saying this happened because of a lack of parenting anyway so I doubt the kick in the back side would even occur. Then again, if it did occur, the county could file suit against the parents "malicous punishment of a child". Ever wonder why the lawyer section of the phonebook if bigger than anyother??

They don't need to press charges. That's just a lawyers way of getting payed to get someone out of trouble. A good kick in the back side by his father would do a better job than probation.
