Eau Claire police surrounded a house with guns drawn after a man inside told them to leave because he had a gun.
>
Police say they were looking for a suspect for a domestic battery which happened in Marshfield early Tuesday morning.
>
Marshfield police say they asked Eau Claire police to help find and arrest 29-year-old Nathan Emmons in Eau Claire where he lives. Police say they knocked on the door when they heard someone yelling inside.
>
“A male voice from inside the residence said, 'Get away- I have a gun." Our officers, obviously believing that it was the suspect making those comments took precautions, backed off from the front door, and called for additional people," Eau Claire Police Sgt. Travis Quella says.
>
Police say Emmons told them someone else in the house had yelled at the officers. Police say the man yelling didn't know it was the police at the door and wanted to be left alone. Police then arrested Emmons.
