One of the Chippewa Falls Senior High School band directors is ticketed for providing alcohol to a couple of teenagers over the weekend.

Chippewa Falls police say Andrei Strizek was ticketed for providing alcohol to two underage men.

Police say the men are 18 and 19 years old. Chippewa Falls police got an anonymous tip call saying there was a party with underage drinkers at Strizek's home. Officers showed up at his apartment around 11:00
Saturday night.

"Officers went there, were invited in to investigate the situation and ultimately identified two underage persons who had consumed alcohol," said Chippewa Falls Police Chief Wayne Nehring.

Chippewa Falls Police Chief Wayne Nehring says teenagers at the apartment admitted to drinking.

"We have no information to lead us to believe they're presently students at the high school or students of Mr. Strizek," Nehring said.

Nehring says he doesn't know if the students ever attended Chi-Hi.

Strizek, a UW-Eau Claire alum, became a full-time band director there this year, just months after a bus crash killed the former band director and four others.

According to Nehring, Strizek hasn't received his ticket in the mail yet.

When he does, he can choose to either pay the $248 fine or contest the ticket in court on Feb.6.

We made several attempts to reach both Strizek and Chippewa Falls Area Unified School District Superintendent Mike Schoch at work and at home. We couldn't get in touch with them, so it's unclear what if anything the school is doing about this.
