Deputies have arrested a 17-year-old in connection with a crash that killed another teen earlier this month. Danielle Nordquist of Clayton was taken into custody Monday night for possible charges of providing alcohol to a minor, causing injury.
The Barron County Sheriff's Department says Nordquist was in the truck that crashed on July 4th near Turtle Lake. Deputies say a 14-year-old was driving the truck with three females inside when the driver lost control, went up an embankment and rolled, throwing the three out of the truck. Nordquist and the 14-year-old driver were flown to the hospital.
17-year old Rhonda Hellstern, from Turtle Lake, died in the crash.
