People who were driving on I-94 overnight had to dodge some cattle. The state patrol says a semi trailer hauling cattle rolled over at about 1:30 Wednesday morning near Cty. Rd. NN. Cattle were running loose on a stretch of I-94 near Osseo until about 4 a.m.
State Patrol Troopers, Trempealeau County Sheriff's Deputies, and Osseo and Strum firefighters were all trying to corral them. They also called in some local farmers to help get them into trailers.
An emergency worker says there were about 40 cattle being hauled. There’s no word on exactly how many were running loose.
