The woman accused of not calling for help while a man died of a drug overdose was sentenced to six months in jail on Tuesday.
Online court records show a Pepin County judge sentenced 20-year-old Crystal Goulet of Durand to three years of probation. They show Goulet pleaded no contest to a drug possession charge in May.
Prosecutors say Goulet and Jared Severson were doing drugs with Justin Sinz, when he started to have trouble breathing. Prosecutors say Severson told Goulet not to call 911. She did later, but Sinz died at the hospital.
Severson also pleaded no contest to the related charges. His sentencing is scheduled for September 21.
