Deputies say they found the body of a man who was last seen Monday night. The Vernon County Sheriff's Department started searching for 64-year-old John Robert Buckley in Coon Valley Thursday morning.
It was after someone had filled a missing person report. Neighbors say they hadn't seen Buckley since Monday.
Around 4:30 p.m. searchers found a bicycle between Hwy 14 and Coon Creek in tall grass at the west end of Coon Valley. They found Buckley's body near the bike.
Friends say Buckley lived alone and had no family in the area. He had advanced Parkinson's disease. Deputies say no foul play is suspected.
