Thursday night’s severe weather surprised one homeowner in Dunn county in the early morning hours when she noticed a big pine tree lying across her yard.
It happened on Cty. Rd. O between Rock Falls and Durand. Kathy Geurts says she went outside around 2:00 Friday morning to let her dog out. That's when she noticed the fallen tree.
Guerts says she slept right through the storm and didn't hear anything. She says her bedroom is about 20 ft from where the tree fell. Guerts says it just missed her house.
There's some minor damage to her car from the debris but otherwise, Geurts says she feels very blessed. She says the storm also left some water in her basement. She says she's been working today to get that out.
