Almost half of the drinking establishments in one county sold alcohol to minors during a sheriff's department investigation.
Barron County Deputies used a DOT Youth Alcohol grant to check alcohol sales at local establishments. A minor was sent in to try to buy alcohol. Out of 23 places checked, 11 served alcohol to the minor.
The bartenders that served the minor at those places were given a citation.
The owner of the office in Dallas was arrested during one of the checks on charges of obstructing and disorderly conduct.
The Sheriff says the department will continue doing checks in hopes of reaching 100 percent compliance.
