Crews spent hours at the scene of a barn fire in Trempealeau County Thursday. It happened around 12:30 p.m. on Shepard Road in Pigeon Falls, near Whitehall.
Smoke could be seen from the road and the barn appears to have heavy damage. Many of the animals appear to have gotten out of the barn safely, but we don't know if all of them made it out.
There's no word on what caused the fire or a damage estimate.
