A Polk County man was killed over the weekend as he tried to assist his wife with a vehicle.
Polk County Sheriff's Deputies say a woman called her husband Saturday night after a vehicle she was a passenger in broke down on the side of a road. Her husband, 37-year-old Travis Webb of Luck, responded to help and parked his vehicle in front of the other one as a way to jump start it.
He was standing between the two vehicles when another vehicle crashed into the stalled vehicle and into him. Webb was flown to Regions Hospital in St. Paul. He died Sunday.
