More than 3,00 students hauled their futons, desks and other belongings into the dorms at UW-Stout on Sunday.
University spokesperson Doug Mell says this freshman class is larger than most.
To accommodate all the students, Stout has staggered move-in times throughout the day to reduce congestion at the dorms.
But no matter how smooth move in goes, parents still say it's never easy saying goodbye to their kids.
