Local troopers honored for their service
21 members of the Wisconsin State Patrol were honored Wednesday in Madison for their exemplary service and lifesaving actions.

21 members of the Wisconsin State Patrol were honored Wednesday in Madison for their exemplary service and lifesaving actions.
Some of those honored include Trooper Shari Kalk of Eau Claire. She received the Livesaving Award for performing CPR on someone at a restaurant who was not breathing and had no pulse. Her efforts helped save the person's life.
Inspector Randy Yeakey of Bloomer also received the Lifesaving Award for rescuing a driver trapped inside a truck after a rollover near Boyceville.
Inspector Kirk Danielson of River Falls received the Meritorious Service Award for risking his life to remove the driver of a pick up truck at a crash scene in Dunn County after the truck caught fire.
