A Wisconsin man is dead after falling 90 feet while repairing power lines in Iowa.

The 34-year-old Burlington man, whose identity has not been released, was an employee of Hooper Corporation of Madison.

Alliant Energy had contracted the company to repair utility lines after the weekend snow storm left thousands without electricity.

Sheriff's officials say a utility boom truck apparently malfunctioned, causing the basket and the worker to fall from the extended boom.
