Fake Checks From La Crosse County Turning Up In Other States
La Crosse Police are investigating how four fraudulent checks from the county are turning up in other states.

La Crosse Police are investigating how four fraudulent checks from the County are turning up in other states.

County Treasurer Donna Henson says she started getting calls from out of State Banks about the checks.
>
The fake checks turned up in Kentucky, Florida, Michigan and Nevada.
>
Henson says two checks were written for around $69,000 and $72,000.
>
Someone tried to cash another for $98,000.
>
Henson says wells Fargo and La Crosse Police are trying to figure out where the checks came from and who's trying to cash them.
