The Internal Revenue Service says Wisconsin taxpayers are leaving more than $5 million in refunds.

About one-third of taxpayers who've filed federal income tax returns so far aren't claiming a refund for long-distance telephone excise tax.

A spokesman says getting the refund only takes one line on your 10-40 form.

The refund is for service billed between March 2003 and July 2006. The standard amount is between 30 and 60 dollars based on how many personal exemptions they claim.
