The Minnesota Civil Liberties Union says it is taking legal action to remove a stone marker displaying the Ten Commandments from the lawn of the Duluth City Hall.

The Union says the monument is intimidating to people of other religions. Additionally, the group contends the city of Duluth is violating the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution governing the separation of church and state.

Duluth Mayor Herb Bergson has pledged to fight the lawsuit.
