A Kenosha businessman faces federal charges over his family's donations of $200,000 to Governor Jim Doyle's campaigns over the past five years.

The governor says he's taking the charges seriously, but Doyle says his campaign wasn't aware of anything to suggest the contributions were inappropriate or unlawful. The indictment handed down in Milwaukee accuses Dennis Troha of illegally funneling more than $100,000 to the Democratic Governor and others through a business entity and family members.

The governor says if the allegations prove to be true, he'll return the money.
