One local university is saving thousands of dollars with a new free e-mail system.
The University of Wisconsin-Stout is only the second campus in the UW-system to start using Microsoft Live as it's email system. About 9,000 students are affected by the change. Students will now be able to keep the exact same email account after they graduate.
A Stout representative says replacing the old system would've cost $300,000 dollars over three years. This new system will save the university money and give students more e-mail storage.
