Work on Interchange Set to Begin

If your daily commute passes by, or even includes the Clairemont Avenue and Hastings Way interchange in Eau Claire, you’ll want to be ready for a change come Monday morning.

Starting Monday, construction crews will hit the pavement to re-start work on the $6-million project to reconstruct that interchange.

That means ramps from northbound Hastings Way to Clairemont Avenue will be closed.

If you’re traveling northbound and want to exit onto Clairemont, you’ll be detoured on 53 North.

The ramp from Clairemont to south Hastings will be closed as well.

Some lane restrictions will also be included with the construction work, Hastings Way will reduced to one lane in each direction near the area and Clairemont Avenue will be reduced to two lanes during daytime hours.

The lane restrictions and detours will remain in effect until crews finish the project this fall.
