Police say they arrested four men in connection with an armed robbery Sunday night.
Officers say they arrested 22-year-old Nicholas Schmude of the Boyd area, 21-year-old Travis Eagen of the Cadott area, 32-year-old Shae Bailey and 20-year-old Zachary Thiede, both of Chippewa Falls.
Chippewa Falls police say a 21-year-old man living on the 200 block of North Prairie Street says he heard banging on the door of his home. He says when he went to find out what was going on when three people in masks confronted him and someone hit him in the head. He says the suspects then ran off.
Police Chief Wayne Nehring says the weapon was a hand tool. He says two of the suspects came to the police department and were arrested, a third was caught at his home and officers served a search warrant at a home on pearl street before catching the fourth.
Nehring says nobody broke into the home, and nothing was stolen. Prosecutors have yet to file criminal charges against the men.
