Man sentenced to life in prison for shooting and killing girlfriend
Deputies say James La Houd shot and killed Charlotte Engel and then shot his ex-girlfriend Sarah Engel.

A Price County man will spend the rest of his life in prison for killing a woman and shooting another in the face.
42-year-old James La Houd was arrested in September 2008 at his home west of Phillips.
Deputies say La Houd shot and killed Charlotte Engel and then shot his ex-girlfriend Sarah Engel. The shootings happened in the Town of Prentice, in Price County.
On Wednesday, a judge found La Houd guilty of first degree intentional homicide and sexual assault. He was sentenced to life in prison plus 80 years.
