Voters in Chippewa Falls will be voting on an advisory referendum in April that would allow fluoride to be added to their water supply.
Tuesday night, the Chippewa Falls City Council voted to accept the committee's recommendation to continue looking into possibly adding fluoride to the city's water supply. The issue now heads to an advisory referendum on April 6th.
Public health officials say most other communities already add fluoride to their water, including Eau Claire, who has for decades. They say adding fluoride is the proactive option and makes more sense than just treating tooth decay.
