Boil order in effect for area community
The Department of Natural Resources says it took the water tower and well in Exeland, northwest of Ladysmith, offline yesterday.

An area community is being ordered to boil tap water before using it.
The Department of Natural Resources says it took the water tower and well in Exeland, northwest of Ladysmith, offline yesterday.
Crews are modifying discharge piping near the well and an elevated storage tank. The DNR says the water system lost pressure which can cause back-flow or bring contamination into the system.
The DNR says it's taking samples today and could have results as early as Wednesday. The test results determine whether the DNR can lift the order.
