State Attorney General's Punishment is Equal.

A review of state records shows Attorney General Pet Lautenschlager's self-imposed punishment for drunken driving is in line with what other state employees have received for the same type of offense.

The Associated Press reviewed more than a dozen letters of reprimand against state workers for drunken driving in a state car since 1990.

The review found that seven employees received five-day suspensions; two got ten-day suspensions; two got a 30-day suspension; and three were fired. Since she's an elected official, she can't be suspended. Instead, she paid the state $3, 250, which is equivalent to a ten-day suspension, although she's still working.
