Fire Destroys Chicken Barn

A fire last week in Trempealeau County caused $700,000 in damage to a barn that housed Gold'N Plump chickens.

More than 100,000 chickens were killed last Thursday when a poultry barn was destroyed.

Andy Schultz, the owner of the barn was working in the two story facility at the time of the fire. He says the fire started from a problem with a generator.

The barn was built in 1964, and is a total loss.
