No Wolf Feeding

Encounters with wolves are a rare occurrence, and usually the wolf disappears quickly, but that hasn't been the case near Black River Falls.

There have been reports of wolf sightings in the Black River Falls area, and it's also been reported that a wolf accepted food from people.

That's something the DNR strongly discourages since the wolf is a wild animal, and the DNR wants it to stay that way.

The DNR says if you do see a wolf, start talking to make some noise and walk, DON"T run away, so that you can continually see the animal.

If you see a wolf that does not appear to be fearful, the DNR asks that you call them with the location, date, and time of the sighting.
