House Explodes in Eau Claire County
One person was injured in a fire that destroyed a house in eastern Eau Claire County on Wednesday afternoon.
Around 2:30 p.m., the Fall Creek fire department responded to a structure fire on county road D, in the Town of Ludington, just east of Highway 27.
The Augusta fire department along with the Altoona fire department was also called in to help. Crews had the blaze under control within an hour of arriving on the scene, but the home was a complete loss. There's no word yet on the severity of those injuries.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
