State Legislature Authorizes Four Building Projects for UW System

The State Legislature has wrapped up it 2003-2004 regular session. In one of the last Senate Bills approved Tuesday there's authorization for four building projects for the University of Wisconsin system.

The UW campus in Madison will receive a new dormitory. While UW-River Falls will be adding on and have renovating done to Hunt Arena and the Knowles Physical Education and Recreation Center.

University officials there have been trying to keep the Kansas City Chiefs coming there to train in the summers. They proposed an expansion project as part of an incentive for the Chiefs to return.

The Assembly passed the bill 85 to 9 and sent it to the Governor.
