Lake Hallie Considers Water Rules

On Monday night, the village board discussed the guidelines to conserve water in the community.

The proposal includes a ban on watering lawns and gardens from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., year-round. The restrictions do not include the watering of new landscaping, washing cars or using watering cans for trees or shrubs.

Village President Pete Lehmann says it's an effort to manage the resources of their growing community. T

he village board will vote on the final ordinance on April 5.
