Milk Prices

Milk prices are showing a total reversal from a year ago. They're hitting record highs and giving Wisconsin farmers some welcomed relief.

Pat Boettcher, owner and operator of a dairy farm, says it will give farmers a chance to catch up after years of poor milk prices.

But for consumers that means a gallon of milk could cost around three dollars and a pound of butter could be more than two dollars.

Right now milk is getting about eighteen dollars for ever 12 gallons setting a new record for milk prices and ending a two-year trend of low prices.

Future markets are showing milk prices to stay strong through August.
