New Information Phone Number

The Wisconsin Public Service Commission has approved a statewide 211 non-emergency telephone hotline. The system is designed to be a one-stop source for questions about public health, social services, bioterrorism and natural disasters.

The 211 system has been operating in Milwaukee, Dane, Waukesha and Racine Counties since 2002. The next stop for 211 Wisconsin will be finding agencies to handle the calls in their counties.

Project organizers say the statewide system should be ringing by the end of the year.
