Phillips Plastics Corporation announced today it's cutting jobs at its plant on Mondovi Drive in Eau Claire.
A spokesperson at Phillips Plastics would not comment on the number of layoffs, but said it was a "small number."
In a news release, the company says a temporary and unforeseen slowdown in orders led them to conduct a workforce reduction.
Two years ago, the plastics company laid off about half its Eau Claire workforce when sixty to eighty jobs were cut.
