Today Governor Doyle testified before the U.S. Senate's special committee on aging. Doyle tried to convince the committee that Wisconsin's senior prescription drug program should be preserved.
Currently, SeniorCare is set to end on June 30th if President Bush does not grant a waiver allowing the program to continue.
The Bush administration argues that the Medicare part-D prescription drug benefit makes SeniorCare unnecessary.
But Governor Doyle says SeniorCare saves the federal government money and is more affordable for seniors.
