Possible Charges Against Audrey Seiler

Madison police are investigating whether Audrey Seiler may have committed a felony when she staged her disappearance last month.

A Dane County circuit judge signed a search warrant last week allowing police to examine Seiler's cell phone and laptop computer.

The warrant seeks evidence the University of Wisconsin-Madison student obstructed justice. That's a felony punishable by up to three-and-a-half years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Dane County District Attorney Brian Blanchard has been reviewing police reports in the case and has not said if he will file any charges against Seiler.
