American Girl Closes Eau Claire Plant
A day after Rockwell Automation announced the closing of its Eau Claire facility on Tuesday, another Eau Claire business is reporting a closure.
American Girl officials say it plans to close its call center.
Managers told employees Wednesday morning that 165 jobs are involved and 140 of them are part-time.
Officials say the former Pleasant Company has been experiencing a shift in its customer shopping habits, specifically online ordering.
As a result, phone centers will be consolidated.
The Madison based Company makes dolls, books, and clothing.
