The lawyer for a Wisconsin college student charged with faking her own abduction appears in court Thursday morning.
Lawyer Randy Hopper won't say whether Audrey Seiler will contest the charges but he calls her a “model student'' and “a model citizen.''
Seiler told Madison police she had been abducted at knifepoint last month and held for four days. But police later concluded she made up the story. Authorities say she later confessed.
A criminal complaint depicts Seiler as upset with her boyfriend and desperate for his attention. Friends said they had been fighting.
