University of Minnesota-Rochester Receives Aid
The University of Minnesota-Rochester is getting some financial assistance.

The Rochester City Council has agreed to give the University of Minnesota-Rochester $4 million for help in renovating space in a local mall.

The council has dedicated sales tax dollars to help finance the conversion of the Galleria Mall's third and fourth floors into a high-tech university.
>
University officials plan to spend a total of $8 million on the renovation. The rest of the money will come from $16 million set aside by the legislature last year.
