The Natural Resources Board is banning out of state bait in an effort to stop a deadly fish virus. The virus has no effect on humans, but is killing large amounts of fish.

You can't use out of state bait unless it meets strict testing requirements, and you can't move fish out of the Great Lakes or Mississippi River.

The virus was found in the lower Great Lakes in recent years. Now experts think it’s in Lake Michigan which has the DNR worried about Wisconsin waterways.
