Emergency experts say people should always be on the alert during stormy weather.

Many counties sound weather sirens when a thunderstorm warning hits. That means residents should seek out more information on television or radio, and take cover if needed.

Experts also recommend weather alert radios. Many are portable, and easily taken to a cabin or lake.
