Police searching for suspect in attempted armed robbery at Burger King
Officers say the suspect had a handgun and tried to rob the Lake Hallie Burger King Wednesday morning

The Lake Hallie Police Department is searching for a teenager or young adult male they say tried to rob a Burger King early Wednesday morning.
Officer say around 5:15 a.m., the suspect knocked at the back door of the restaurant. When an employee opened it, he forced his way in. Employees told police the suspect had a black handgun and demanded money. When the employees told the suspect they didn't have any money, he said, "okay, it was just a joke anyway" and left through the back door.
Police say the suspect is about 5'6" tall, with a slim build. They say he appeared disoriented and confused. He was wearing a black ski mask, black sunglasses, black jacket, black gloves and black pants.
