The body of 28-year-old Steve Rekowski of Wittenberg was recovered in his vehicle in the Chippewa River last Thursday.
He was reported missing after not showing up for work on Wednesday.
The Chippewa County Sheriff's Department says the incident is being recorded as a traffic fatality and no foul play is suspected.
Rekowski's blood alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit for driving at .257.
